Hillary Vandyke-Restifo LVT Hillary, fondly known as Harlen, is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and the newest member of the team. After graduating from Alfred University in 2012 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and minors in both Art History and Psychology, she continued on to graduate from SUNY Canton with an Associates in Veterinary Science Technology in May of 2015. Shortly after graduation, she received her veterinary technology license. Harlen grew up with two cats and four ducks that she hand-raised. She spent her childhood dreaming of becoming an "animal doctor" while catching frogs, playing with bugs, and riding horses. She has had the pleasure of sharing her life with a variety of creatures, including snakes, fish, guinea pigs, lizards, and hamsters. Shortly before coming to call Miller Animal Hospital her home, Harlen lived on a dairy farm in northern New York, where she raised rabbits, pigs, and several cattle. She loves animals of all sizes, but pits and rescue mixes hold a special place in her heart. She currently keeps company with three pit mixes, Mars, King, and Troyer. Harlen, Mars, King and Troyer all enjoy exotic cuisine, foreign travel and long walks on the beach.
